Happy International Women’s Day! We were so lucky we started off the month at a women’s real estate retreat last week. We got to be in the room with over 100 powerhouse female agents nationwide from multiple brokerages (we can’t wait to continue to connect and be inspired by them all). As a women-led business it was truly inspiring and amazing to continue our connections across the country.
We feel so lucky to work with and serve amazing women everyday. In honor of today, we wanted to share a few facts about women & real estate:
✨Women make or influence 91 percent of home-purchasing decisions.
✨Women were not permitted to obtain mortgages without a male cosigner until 1974. Now, women outpace men in obtaining mortgages. The National Association of Realtors reported that in 2021 single women make up 19% of all homebuyers where single men only made up just 9%. Couples (married and unmarried) made up 70%.
✨64 percent of all Realtors today are female.
