Nashville in the Summer. Yes – it is hot and humid. But there are so many fun and amazing things to do that it definitely makes up for it! Here are a few of my favorite!
1. Picnic at Arrington Vineyards
What is better than a complimentary wine tasting with a vineyard backdrop? Pack yourself a picnic and enjoy a day at Arrington vineyards. I recommend going straight for the tasting, that way you can buy your favorite bottle to enjoy with the picnic you packed. If you aren’t one to pack a picnic or it is a special occasion you can get a picnic basket delivered from Simply Living Life. They have the whole picnic basket set up (including wine glasses) – just give them notice! Also, make sure to check out Arrington Vineyard’s event calendar to see if there is any live music or events going on!
Now…I always recommend having friends with boats! But if they are out of town you do have some other options. First, you can hit up Nashville Paddle & Co. You can get a workout and cool down at the same time. They have flat rental rates and even group classes (including paddle boarding yoga!) you can join!
Or if you want to go out with a group of people, look at Elm Hill Marina Boat Rentals! You can rent a pontoon boat fitting up to 20 people, one even has a slide! Make sure to reserve your boat!
3. Rainy Day Fun
During the rain it is easy to get stuck at home watching Netflix (not that there is anything wrong with that). But if you want to get out one of my favorite things to do in Nashville is the Corsair Distillery Tour. You get to take a full tour of their production and then head to the tasting room to try either a flight of their spirits or an amazing cocktail that uses one of their spirits. And it is only about $8 for a tasting tour and only $2 for a tour for non-tasters!
Check out The Frist Center for Visual Arts! Anyone under 18 is always free and they also have Art Camps for the kids – sign them up soon!
The Adventure Science Museum is also a perfect place to go on a rainy day! May 23-Sept 7 they have a new exhibit called “Identity: An Exhibition of You”. Who doesn’t want to know what makes us tick? Also, for the 21+ crowd, the museum has been hosting “Way Late Play Dates” which is an event for adults! Basically you get to explore the science museum, watch a planetarium show, enjoy special events all with a beer in your hand!
4. Sounds Game
It is not summer without a good ole’ ball game! Check out the Nashville Sounds! The games are super family friendly and they always have fun promotions! Check out their schedule!
P.S. We can also help you get into a new home this summer as well!
