Research
So first – breathe – take time to research the different neighborhoods to choose which one is right for you. Now when you still have a million questions I recommend contacting a local Nashville Real Estate Agent.
Your agent will give you a better idea about which neighborhoods to search for based on your preferences, style and price range – this will save you from wasting hours online searching the wrong areas. Also, your agent will be able to get together potential homes for you to look at when you arrive – that way you looking at the right properties!
Initial Visit to Search for Future Home
- If you didn’t bring a car rent one. This will give you the ability to explore the different Nashville neighborhoods and not limit you.
- Airbnb: Live life like a true Nashvillian by moving into a true Nashvillian’s home – So ditch the hotel room and try out Airbnb. The service gives you the perfect opportunity to live in a neighborhood before you buy in the neighborhood! Also, it gives you a chance to talk to the neighbors and see what they love about living in the area – make sure to ask for restaurant recommendations. If Airbnb isn’t an option – consider finding a hotel near your desired neighborhood.
- Look at houses with your agent and find your next home! Remember this is an exciting time – you are about to be living in Nashville.
