Most clients can’t find a house that checks every single box. Before looking for a house we always recommend writing down a list of non-negotiables and sticking with them. Maybe you need to be in a certain school district, or maybe having two bathrooms after living with one for 5 years is a necessity. Whatever your must haves are – know them ahead of time. Same with the deal breakers.. This will help keep your priorities in check.
🎃 Know the market you’re buying in (you agent will educate you)!
It is very important to know what the real estate market looks like when entering it. For example is it a seller’s market? Are homes selling quickly and is it competitive? Should you expect to offer over list price in this market?
The right time to buy is when it’s the right time for YOU. When you can figure out your finances, home must haves and market knowledge ahead of time, it will remove all the home buying scaries!
