Nashville on the Market (just a little Nashville real estate market news & opinion)

Up until October sales were up in the double digits this year – for the month of October there were 3,030 home closings which is only a .5% increase from the 3,015 closings reported in same period last year.

Cindy Stanton the president of the Greater Nashville Area of Realtors made a really good point about the change stating “We are in the last quarter of the year, a time when the real estate market typically begins a seasonal slowdown – the market didn’t technically slow down; it merely maintained. A region looks for steady activity and growth to sustain its vitality. The leveling-off in sales is actually a good sign for the health of our market.”

We have to agree with her – It seems great to keep increasing sales at a dramatic rate but steady growth seems to be more viable – and consistency in a market place is ideal. We look forward to see how November and December will pan out and if it will stay steady or we will see another spike.

Hot Neighborhood Watch: Donelson Area – With a close proximity to downtown, the airport and Opry Mills, Donelson’s location, suburban setting, and community amenities make it a desirable place to live. We have already seen a rise in home prices and we believe we will continue to see an increase in value in this area.
