Can you believe the 4th of July is right around the corner? We didn’t realize how fast June went by so we decided to lay out where the best places to celebrate and watch fireworks are on the 4th of July in Nashville.
- “Let Freedom Sing!” – Downtown 4th of July 2021
So if you are looking for lots of excitement on the 4th – downtown is where to be! There will be the LARGEST fireworks display in Nashville history synchronized to a live performance by the GRAMMY-winning Nashville Symphony. There will be lots of music (not including all of the Broadway Bars) with Brad Paisley headlining.. For the kids – there is the Family Fun Zone which includes games, inflatables, and much more .
For best viewing: they have recommended the following places:
Lower Broadway
Ascend Amphitheater
Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge
Riverfront Park
The Green at Riverfront Park
Public Square Park
Music City Walk of Fame ParkIf you don’t want to take the trip downtown here are our suggestions for great spots to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July in Nashville:
Adventure Science Museum – you do have to pay – but it includes entry into the science center from 6-10 and the best view in town click here to purchase.
Cumberland River – hop on a boat and cruise up the Cumberland (there are certain areas that are prohibited for safety so make sure to check before)
Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge – it will be crowded but also picture perfect.
Belmont Parking Garage – grab a blanket and some friends and avoid the crazy crowds. - Kid Friendly/Family Fun – Franklin on the 4th 2021
Franklin on the 4th – This is definitely the perfect place to take kids! It will start in downtown at the square starting at 11am, live music will start at 12pm. The festival will last till 8 p.m. to allow everyone to make it to the Park at Harlinsdale Farm for the Franklin Fireworks display that starts at 9 p.m.
- 2021 Music City Hot Chicken Festival
Yes – you heard it right – the 4th of July in Nashville has a hot chicken festival (I don’t know how I am just now hearing about this?!). From 12-4 p.m. at East Park at 700 Woodland St. you can indulge in some of Nashville’s best Hot Chicken, grab a Yazoo Beer, and enjoy other tasty treats from local vendors!
